Dr Brocklehurst is an Oxford graduate, passionate about educating students to access the best universities worldwide. He is a published writer in the field of education, and utilises a range of pedagogical approaches to teach, inspire and advance students on their pathway to academic success. He has 14 years of teaching experience: at a secondary school in Oxfordshire, UK; at His Majesty King Wangchuck's Royal Academy in Bhutan; at the University of Sydney; and one-on-one with over 150 students in Oxford and Australia. He has also been an examiner for A-Levels and a university tutor and marker.

Martina holds an MSt in Film Aesthetics with Distinction from the University of Oxford (Distinction across all submissions) following a First Class with Honours degree in Philosophy and Sociology from the University of Glasgow. Her academic accolades include the Mary G Ross Prize and the Jubilee Prize at Glasgow, as well as formal recognition for Outstanding Results in Philosophy during her exchange year at the University of Sydney, also completed with Distinction. Martina has translated this expertise into six years of personalised and deeply committed high-school tuition, delivering over 700 lessons focused on the analytical mastery of complex literary and philosophical texts. She is also a published poet and short story writer.

Dr Roux has a PhD in English and 7 years of experience in teaching and tutoring high school and university students. She is a published poet and essayist, with a passion for literature. She graduated high school as Dux of Pymble Ladies' College, coming first in Ancient History, History Extension, Visual Arts, and Classical Greek. As an undergraduate student at the University of Sydney, she majored in English and History and was awarded prizes including the James Coutts Scholarship No 1 for English Literature, Dean’s List of Excellence in Academic Performance, and the University of Sydney Honours scholarship.

Dr Lydia Saleh Rofail holds a PhD and MPhil in English Literature from the University of Sydney. With more than 30 years of experience teaching English, she has taught students at every level, from primary school through to the HSC, as well as undergraduate and Master’s courses at the University of Sydney. She has also taught at Macquarie University and is a published writer and editor in the field of literary studies. Passionate about literature and English pedagogy, Lydia has a particular focus on preparing students for the HSC. Her wealth of experience, deep subject knowledge, and encouraging approach have inspired countless students to achieve outstanding HSC results and gain entry to their preferred university courses.

Dr Danyan Xue

Dr Xue completed her PhD in English at the University of Sydney, where her research explored representations of China in eighteenth-century English literature. She previously completed a Master of Arts in English Language and Literature at Zhejiang University after a Bachelor in English. An experienced university educator, Danyan has taught undergraduate writing and literature at the University of Sydney and presented her research internationally. Fluent in both English and Mandarin, she is especially skilled at supporting students who have recently moved from China to Australia, helping them build confidence in English while developing the analytical and writing skills needed to excel in the Australian school system.
